This past weekend was a busy one for me – I feel so accomplished!

Daily Photo – Accomplished

mount monadnock summit

Today’s photograph is a shot of my sister enjoying the view from the top of Mt Monadnock in southern New Hampshire. It is a relatively small mountain at only about 3,100 ft, but for a couple of people who haven’t hiked in years, this was the perfect place to start.

I hope to hike a few more peaks in the next couple of months and am certainly open to suggestions from those of you who also live in the New England area.

As always, thank you for your time and I hope you like the photos here on my site!

I like all of the clouds, they help add some interest to the sky.
I hike to a lot of pretty places in the mountains here, but I usually seem to end up at my destinations right around noon which is an awful time for photography.

Yeah, I mean it’s definitely more preferable photography wise to end up on the summit for sunrise/sunset, but then you’re either hiking up or down the mountain by flashlight, which can certainly add a bit of danger to the hike.

All in all I’m doing hiking first for the fun, challenge and the added health bonus and second for photography.

    Thanks for the comment! 🙂
