[Assignment] – Go Abstract

This week I’m asking you to think outside the box and create a photograph that fits the idea of abstract. There are lots of ways that you can create abstract shots such as various long exposure tricks, defocusing your shot, finding random patterns and textures within the world we live in, or even post processing software and techniques to turn an ordinary photograph into an abstract piece of art.

However, you have to be careful when you photograph abstract shots, as a poorly executed abstract photograph often times will just look like a mistake that the photographer is trying to cover up by calling it “abstract”.

As always I’m very excited to see what you are able to come up with this week. To get us started here are a few photos that fit the bill from Flickr.

On the forum you can upload as you typically do, but make sure you upload your photo to the proper thread in the Assignments Forum, and do not create a separate thread for your photograph.
