I’m in the process of cleaning out my archives and making some changes to my photo editing workflow. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or ideas on how they personally handle their thousands of photographs? I’d love to hear some workflow strategies in the comments below!
Daily Photo – A Textured Sunset at Hopedale Pond
Instagram made textures popular for a couple reasons. First the presets made it easy and second the ability to share your creations instantly with your friends made it fun. Textured photos have been around for a while though, much longer than the iPhone, but the process to create them was a bit more cumbersome.
I don’t really know if how I’ve taught myself how to do this is the way that you necessarily would, but I like the results and I hope you like them as well! Maybe if there’s enough interest I’ll write a tutorial of how to go about creating your own textures in Photoshop.
With any kind of photo manipulation there is some controversy about the use of textures – I’d love to hear what side of the fence you are on in the comments below.
