Hello everyone on this last day of September! Just a reminder, being the final day of the month, today is the last day to sign up for October’s Newsletter – You can get more info and submit your email address here.
Can you believe it’s already the end of the month? September seemed to just fly by for me with all that I had going on I didn’t really have much time to be bored or slow down. I find that this blog takes up a great deal of time, from finding things to photograph, to processing those shots, to writing these posts and staying up to date with all the other awesome photographers in the community – I love it!
Daily Photo – Five Fingers
Every now and then I’ll come across a tree that’s grown in such a way that it begs the question – What caused this to happen?
Today’s photograph was one such situation. Now, I’ve seen trees that grow like this in swamp lands where they’re roots start higher above the waterline and sink down into the swamp keeping the trunk of the tree out of the water, but this tree was near the top of a hill in an area where I’d expect it to nearly never see standing water.
Regardless of why it grew in such a way I thought it was still very interesting. I felt that it looked like five fingers reaching their way deep into the earth – do you see the same?
