Hello everyone hope you’re all having a nice week so far.
Today’s photograph is another shot of the forest, (I’m hoping to change things up soon!). This time I’ve got an interesting perspective of a strange looking fallen tree. Personally I love tree photography, I think you can find some really cool shots, like this one – The Twisted Tree – By: Jason Hines.
The tree in today’s photograph always catches my eye when I pass it on my walks, I’ve even photographed it before, but without much success in making it look as interesting as it does in person.
As you can see when it fell to the forest floor it landed on a bolder which props it up and makes it appear almost like a giant pointer of sorts. I got as close as I could to this with my 18-55mm kit lens, set it as wide as it could go, and I still feel that I could have gone wider! With that in mind I think this would be an interesting place to revisit when I rent the ultra wide-angle lens that is still on my wish list so I’m making a mental note of that now, and will hopefully have time to take a few practice runs before I head down to Florida in July.
Thanks for taking the time to stop in – as always you’re comments, tweets, and Facebook likes mean a lot to me and help spread Phogropathy beyond my own reach. Have a nice day! 🙂
